Influenced my life

Fr. McNeely came to St. Joseph's in Mandan, ND in 1958 when I was in the 7th grade. He explained and showed me a part of the Catholic Church I was unaware of. Namely, "Jesus loves me and wants me to go to Heaven and this is what I have to do to get to Heaven".Up until then, all I heard in school and from the pulpit was "thou shall not ...............or you are going to hell".I am extremely thankful for Fr. McNeely and firmly believe all Catholics, non-Catholics and especially former Catholics…See More

"This book is a refreshing insight into the Catholic faith. "

Catholicism without the Guilt is Father McNeely’s response to the requests for answers that he’s received from his parishioners over
the many years of his priesthood.

Through his book Father McNeely addresses all sorts of issues facing Roman Catholics today, even those that might be considered “taboo.” He speaks about other belief systems; about sex and sexuality; marriage and divorce; gambling, alcohol, and the use of profanity. His book is also a clearly written, loving effort to bring about a greater understanding of Catholicism and its sacraments.

The book

Fr. Mac's book "Catholicism without the Guilt" is one of the books I keep to read over and over again.

It is very easy and enjoyable as well as informative reading. Fr. Mac's humor permeates throughout which makes the book all the more enjoyable. This book is a great gift for any of your Catholic family or friends and the non Catholics as well. My Lutheran neighbor loved the book and asked for more for her friends.

So grateful to have Fr. Mac's book because we realize that yes, we… Continue

About Catholicism without the guilt book and Fr. Mac

I personally know Fr. Mac and his refreshing out look on the Catholic faith is outstanding. The book is great and helps many of us who were confused about what our faith requires, now have a new opinion. Many have remarked to me now they know that God really loves them in spite of their sins. I recommend this book highly. I have given this book to many of my family and friends and they all share my opinion.
